JST also works towards women empowerment by implementing programs that benefit women in the long run. These empowerment programs promote skill building, self-esteem, access to information and resources, and community action that help position women as confident decision-makers and leaders in their homes and communities. These programs also economically empower women. We have taken a SETWIN Franchise where one semester lasts a quarter and an examination is conducted at the end of each semester. Successful women are issued a SETWIN Certificate. The certificate can be used to obtain bank loans for women entrepreneurs and also helps to seek jobs. Currently We are running 10 Skill development (Tailoring & Fashion Design) centers and 2 Beautician training Centers. Women empowerment activities also include Jute bag making, Computerised Embroidery, Bead artifacts and Saree painting.
