Medical Camps
Focus Area: Health

Project Description

Janahitha Seva Trust was born with an idea to serve the underprivileged, especially towards feeding the hungry, providing medical aid, supporting the Divyang / physically & mentally disabled (donating wheelchairs, artificial limbs, etc.)

The Trust has been seriously focusing on better health services and hygiene programs. To implement this, Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad was selected as a pilot project, due to the geographical advantage and public outreach. The trust also conducts medical camps & health awareness programmes in various rural areas.

Janahitha Seva Trust conducts free monthly medical camps at villages and maintains the records in the system. Specialist doctors from Hyderabad examine the patients. All the diagnostic tests are carried out and medicines are provided too. We are presently conducting these camps at Edula, Burgula, Poddutur and Kandukoor villages, in association with our partner NGO YouSee.

We also conduct medical camps at women’s jail and Narayana Asharamam, Jjiaguda (quarterly). We also conduct need-based medical camps at slums.
